Evolving Fixed Mobile convergence (FMC) technologies allow operators to improve their business models by bringing a new range of value-added services to the business market.
Centile has extended its business suite solutions by offering a Mobile IP Centrex solution which combines the enhanced features of IP Centrex with the mobility of wireless service.
For Mobile Operators and MVNOs with network infrastructure
Centile’s Mobile IP Centrex solution enables Mobile operators (and MVNOs with network infrastructure) to provide business customers with both GSM and wireless IP connectivity bundled with a full set of powerful Centrex features to mobile and fixed devices, such as “one number” across multiple devices/networks with seamless handover, extension dialing, integrated corporate directory, n-way conferencing, group features, find-me follow-me, presence management, distinctive ringing and attendant services among others, regardless of their location, network access and terminals used.
Centile’s multi terminal feature allows new services with FMC to be fully integrated with fixed line handsets. The feature allows for a combination of fixed and mobile users on the same network. It also enables the same user to use a number of fixed or mobile devices to share the same user profile.
Mobile operators will be able to gain a competitive edge and generate additional revenue streams by offering unique converged services while utilizing their existing network infrastructure.
For Other Service Providers and Service Resellers
Utilizing FMC, GSM service resellers and fixed network operators are able to deploy new revenue generating solutions that enable them to differentiate themselves from other competitive mobile operators, target new segments and attract new customers while reducing customer churns.
Case Study
An international fixed-mobile operator integrated the Nokia E series and Windows Mobile based GSM phones with Centile platform.
This allowed the service provider to launch wireless VoIP services with a dual GSM-WiFi handset.
The service allowed end-users to use their normal GSM phone for GSM calls but also enabled them to make VoIP calls from an IP Centrex extension while they were in a WiFi environment; giving them the ability to make and receive calls on a true converged device.
