French operator Nerim selects the Centile Istra Platform for Centrex and Fixed-Mobile convergence services
Sophia Antipolis, France, May 21 2012 -Centile Telecom Applications, a European developer of Unified Communications solutions, today announced deployment of the Centile Istra platform by French operator Nerim since 2011.
With business growing strongly, Nerim has extended its ISP know-how, evolving to a full-service operator model. Boosting the capacity of its Centrex offering is a key element in maintaining growth for Nerim.
Transparent, seamless migration to the Istra platform
Nerim selected the Centile Istra platform with a Dialogic IMG SIP-ISUP gateway for its voice and centrex services offering, replacing legacy Comverse Netcentrex managed services. Working in partnership with Nerim, Centile effectively supported rapid, seamless migration from the Netcentrex platform to the Centile Istra solution.
Centile delivered a suite of tools to manage the mass migration of key operational data including enterprise details, subscribers, numbering plans and IP terminal data, as well as value-added services such as voice mail and subscriber groups. The Centile toolkit allowed Nerim to manage the migration step-by-step, synchronized with the requirements of number portability.
The large range of IP telephones certified by Centile on the Istra platform allowed Nerim to complete the migration without the need to replace existing terminals, while extending support to SIP-enabled devices.
Istra deployment facilitates delivery of new services
The Centile Istra deployment allows Nerim to offer new services, beyond the capabilities of the legacy Netcentrex platform. Advanced services now available to Nerim customers include:
Interactive Voice Response, an automated assistant offering effective receptionist services to route incoming calls to the appropriate person or department.
Pre answer, allowing delivery of a custom welcome message to callers while waiting for the called party to pick up the inbound call.
desktop/cellphone pairing, an element of the Centile Any3 concept allowing simultaneous ringing and other services across two terminals.
Voice conference server, the allocation of a dedicated number at standard call rates for tele-conferencing.
VoicePad, a solution allowing remote users to make and receive calls on their PC, over any internet connection, using their desktop phone number.
