2012-Feb-27-Centile Istra Mobile platform powers Elisa Ring to leadership position
Unique Enterprise services offering delivers growing market share, reduces churn
Barcelona, SPAIN, February 27, 2012 – With a subscriber base, both business and domestic, increasingly choosing mobile voice in preference to fixed line, Elisa, a leading Nordic telecommunications provider, introduced in Q4 2011 the Elisa Ring service in Estonia. Based on the Istra Mobile platform by Centile Telecom Applications of Sophia-Antipolis, France, Elisa Ring offers mobile users a rich set of value added services – including enterprise-class services that directly compete with fixed-line providers and PBXs.
Margus Õunap, Director, Product Management at Elisa Estonia explains “The flexibility of the Centile Istra Mobile platform allows us to deliver a unique fea-ture-rich suite of services to enterprise subscribers, differentiating Elisa from competitors in both the fixed and mobile markets.“
The Istra Mobile services platform allows mobile operators and MVNEs to pro-vide business customers the advanced features of an office telephone on their mobile handsets. It also fully integrates the mobile device with desktop and web-based applications for call control and service administration.
“With sophisticated services such as presence, hunt groups, queuing and confe-rencing on their mobiles, our enterprise customers can cut the cord with the fixed line and PBX provider, improve productivity, and reduce costs” continues Margus Õunap.
“The Centile Istra Mobile platform has been designed to allow operators to deliver enterprise-class services over existing mobile networks” says Bertrand Pourcelot, Managing Director, Centile Telecom Applications. “With the value-added services enabled by the Istra platform operators can increase ARPU, reduce churn, and take a leadership position in advance of new technology deployments in the network infrastructure.”
Margus Õunap adds “Elisa selected Centile and the Istra Mobile solution for cost-effective delivery of advanced mobile subscriber services, replacing aging platforms lacking the flexibility and scalability to meet new demands. The flexibility and reactivity of the Centile team have been key elements in the success of the Elisa Ring launch.”
