Sophia-Antipolis, February 17 2012 – Centile Telecom Applications, a European developer of Unified Communications solutions, will be introducing Istra Mobile, its new platform for mobile operators addressing the enterprise market, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, from February 27th to March 1st 2012.

Istra Mobile is an innovative, scalable solution delivering advanced desktop telephone services to mobile users for a new experience in enterprise mobility.

With enterprises increasingly dependent on mobile communications, Centile Telecom Applications has invested in the development of an innovative platform that offers mobile users on GSM networks a full range of enterprise communications services equivalent to, or better than, those they’ve been used to on their PABX-based desktop phone.

Istra Mobile is a services platform allowing mobile operators and MVNEs to offer enterprise customers the advance services of a desktop phone on a GSM mobile, integrating desktop and web applications for managing calls and services. The Istra Mobile platform is designed for scalability, and open APIs facilitate deployment in today’s GSM networks while retaining the flexibility to easily adapt to evolving network technologies such as IMS.

Quickly and easily deployed and managed, Istra Mobile offers multiple levels of functionality:

• PABX-like features for GSM users such as call groups, hunt groups, call queuing, automated switchboard, and conferencing;
• Advanced features including remote monitoring of user availability (mobile powered off, redirection, roaming) and unified instant messaging/SMS (allowing IM sessions to continue as SMS if 3G connectivity is unavailable). The Istra Mobile platform also offers rich name and number display. With this, the called user can be presented with additional caller information based on external directory data (Yellow Pages, for example). It also allows caller path tracing to allow the user to identify, for example, forwarded calls; the user can then pick up the call and tailor their response according to the forwarding path.

Elisa, a leading operator in the Nordic region, has already deployed the Istra Mobile Platform to deliver new services to enterprise customers.
